Stories for Maths is a brand-new collection of 49 books for F–2 which have been carefully designed to help develop students’ understanding of maths principles, concepts and vocabulary through the familiar and safe space of great storybooks.
To support student engagement, the Foundation and Year 1 storybooks include some larger decodable text that students can read themselves. In Year 2, students are encouraged to read the books independently, however the books can also be shared in class or group settings to ensure maths understanding is fully embedded.
Each story in the series provides a carefully managed balance of maths content, maths specific vocabulary, phonically decodable text, and engaging storytelling.
Each story includes built-in conversation prompts to explore maths concepts, plus an activity page at the back for immediate application of learning.
We've carefully mapped the maths concepts in the books to your curriculum, to reduce planning time.
Stories for Maths is also aligned to the Oxford Maths program, and can be used to supplement your maths lessons.
Includes series eBooks, curriculum alignment support, research and guidance, plus more!
